God’s Hand of Mercy
I sat out on our porch and watched a flock of turkey’s walk up the hill and cross the woven wire fence we have. All but one flew up to the fence and down on the other side. This last turkey would push his head through up to his breast and the fence would give a little but he was too big to go through. This went on for half an hour. What I knew that the turkey didn’t was 15 yards to his right was a gate that he could just walk through with no trouble. As I watched this turkey, I wondered how many times I have done the same thing in life. Keep trying to force myself through a door that God had not opened. Keep trying to force myself to change when I needed the help of the Holy Spirit and God’s hand of mercy. Keep pushing on in a direction that is not the way He is leading. So my dear friend, if you find yourself pushing against the same fence and not getting anywhere, stop and ask God is this the direction You are leading? Is this Your perfect will for me? Is this Your time for me to move forward? Maybe He’s calling you to be still and rest in Him. Stop and just wait on Him. Enjoy where you are instead of wishing you were somewhere else. We’re on a journey and we have the best road map ever given to man, God’s Holy Word mixed with prayer and trust.
Is. 30:21 Whether you turn to the right or the left. Your ears will hear a voice behind you saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
Walking toward heaven,
Denise
