Deep Enough to Swim In

I love finding a new scripture to me. I have read it before but it hasn’t spoken to me until now.

Ezekiel. 47:1-6

The man brought me back to the entrance of the temple, and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of the temple toward the east. The water was coming down from under the south side of the temple, south of the altar. He then brought me out through the north gate and led me around the outside to the outer gate facing east, and the water was flowing from the south side. As the man went eastward with a measuring line in his hand, he measured 1000 cubits and then led me through water that was ankle-deep. He measured another 1000 cubits and led me through water that was knee-deep. He measured another 1000 cubits and led me through water that was up to my waist. He measured another 1000 cubits but now the water it was a river that I could not cross, because it had risen and was deep enough to swim in.

This is what God spoke to me:

You can stand on the bank and never get wet.

You can step in ankle deep.

You can wade in knee deep.

You can walk in waist deep.

You can jump in over your head.

If you stand, step, wade, or walk: YOU are in control. But if you jump in He is in control.

I want to jump in over my head. Where I give ALL control to Him. Where I yield everything I have to Him. So that the rivers of living water in my life spills over and touches others for His kingdom.

One of my favorite songs: Oceans by United.

Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander

And my faith will be made stronger

In the presence of My Savior.

Oh my friend, wont you jump in with me.
